# Voice conversations

> Talk to your AI using voice on supported channels.

Voice conversations let you speak naturally instead of typing. WednesdayAI transcribes your speech, processes it, and responds with synthesized audio.

## Supported channels

Voice is available on channels where the adapter supports real-time audio:

* **Discord** — voice channels (requires voice permissions)
* Channels using a custom realtime voice provider installed by your administrator

  Your administrator must enable and configure the voice feature. If you don't see voice options, contact them.

## Starting a voice session

* **Discord:** Join a voice channel and type `/wednesday voice start`
* **Custom channels:** Follow channel-specific instructions from your admin

## During a voice session

* Speak naturally — no push-to-talk by default
* Pause \~1 second to signal end-of-turn
* Say "stop" or "cancel" to interrupt a response mid-stream
* Say "end session" or type `/wednesday voice stop` to finish

## Privacy

Audio is processed in real time and not stored after transcription. Transcripts appear in your session history the same way text messages do.
